I am an experienced leader with a history of developing, scaling and leading cross-functional teams to support the growth of digital initiatives. My background in design coupled with a strong foundation in journalism has lead to the creation of some of The Post’s most dynamic and forward thinking products. I also have knowledge of the business demands of digital media and have lead high-impact initiatives that help shape company strategies.
In my current role, I lead a team of more than 40 editors, designers, animators, video editors, multiplatform editors and writers. The team has launched several high-profile owned and operated products including The Post’s highly visual and tightly curated national app: “Washington Post Select,” The Lily (a cross platform experience aimed at informing and empowering women) and By The Way (a cross platform travel experience aimed at today's traveler). The team is also an engine for introducing new products that we deploy in our relationships with distributive platforms and other technology partners. Think Apple News, Flipboard, Snapchat Discover, Facebook and Amazon.
The Team operates on an editorial philosophy and design sensibility that takes advantage of the small screen for mobile-first storytelling. We are consistently in the innovations mindset, knowing that once something is launched, it’s on to figuring out what the next big thing will be.
